Our Post was nominated for three awards -- Explorer Post of the Year, Kevin Heithaus for Male Explorer of the Year, and Dana Reback for Female Explorer of the Year. The nominations alone were an honor, but we won the Explorer Post of the Year award. Bob Ekman also won a special achievement award and the Post was given the National Exploring Excellence Award. Congratulations to the best Post in the DC area for 2007!

Saturday evening, January 19, 2008, our post was well represented by
leaders, parents and advisors at the annual regional Exploring Banquet.
This banquet was sponsored by the National Capital Area Council, Learning
for Life.
