Our Team

We are a great group of high school kids with interests in computers, robotics, rockets, and engineering. We meet at Lockheed Martin in Rockville Maryland on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings through out the school year. We are developing our experience in engineering to see if we want to make it our career. We also have a lot of fun!

Robotics...Robotics...Robotics...

We have four teams registered in the Botball Educational Robotics program. Our teams did great in the Virginia and Maryland regional competitions during April. We are now planning to participate in the Global Conference on Educational Robotics in July in Honolulu. Save your pennies. To participate, you need to submit a signed permission form (PDF or Word).

Rocketry...Rocketry...Rocketry...

We have three teams registered for Team America Rocketry Challenge. We had some great qualification launches in February and March. Team 13198 was invited to the national fly-off on May 12. The challenge is 800 feet high and 43 to 47 seconds in duration.(more...)

News...News...News...

General meetings are back on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-9pm.

TARC Team 13198 is going to finals on May 11/12 in Virginia. Everyone is invited to attend, lots to do and rocket launches also.

The Botball regional tournaments are over and we had great successes. Team 160 was 3rd in Virginia. Team 161 had perfect documentation. Team 162 was overall best in Maryland. Team 389 was a finalist in Maryland. And we won spirit in Maryland. .

Lockheed Martin Security
Always bring a photo ID to meetings and come early. We use the Lockheed Martin security system to access the meeting rooms.  Your school ID number is used for registration.

Inclement Weather Policy
Normally we follow the county public school weather schedule changes, but not always. Since our meetings are 12 hours off from the start of school, conditions may change. If it looks like there are no road problems at the start of our meeting and we don’t expect a change, then we will have the meeting. Consult with your parents and check our web site to make your decision.
